Purpose of the training
The training ISCC EU Foundation - Biomethane Value Chain introduces you to the most relevant parts within the certification scheme ISCC EU for feedstock and biogas feedstock as well as for biogas, green gas and bio-LNG. You probably already understood that ISCC EU certification can ensure demonstrable sustainability, compliance with EU RED requirements and also has commercial added value. You will go home with specific insights relevant to the "gaseous route" of ISCC EU. Previously Route to Market had two separate trainings (Feedstock & Raw Material and Biogas, Biomethane and Bio-LNG), but these have been merged into the Biomethane Value Chain training in mid-2024 due to the synergies between the focus areas.
Who is this course intended for?
It is a Foundation training course and therefore particularly interesting for anyone interested in learning about ISCC EU with a deepening focus on feedstock and bio feedstocks and the biogas, green gas and bio-LNG production chain. It is also ideal for individuals/employees of entities who wish to become ISCC EU certified in the near future. This training is also very suitable for new team members who have just started in a new role and have a link in their field of work to ISCC EU. We have also welcomed many project developers in previous editions and this training normally acts as an incentive for further steps in project development of biogas, green gas and bio-LNG projects. Also worth noting; regular training is a necessity to meet ISCC EU audit criteria.
What is covered in the training?
Overview of the ISCC system, system requirements for the different markets (especially biofuels), supply chain ins and outs, certification processes, conducting sustainability audits, supply chain elements, traceability and chain of custody, GHG calculation, tips and tricks, best practices, Dutch relevant parts in relation to ISCC EU and short case studies (all focused on feedstock, biogas/biogas/green gas/bio-LNG).

Roland Kok
Roland Kok, owner of Route to Market, has been a key figure in the energy sector since 2010.
